Yesterday was your birthday! At 4am on Sunday 10/16, Teri woke me up first with a tug and then with a shove to let me know it was go time. At 6am, we went to the St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital. Daddy still isn't sure why St. Luke would possess a Roosevelt but we'll put that into the parking lot for now. The morning was a blur but it went something like this - water break, yoga ball, yoga ball, agOny, AGONY, EPIDURAL, epidural, "Hi Dr. Patrick", "grab her leg? I was planning on staying above the fold...", holy cow, HOLY COW, "full head of hair? is he mine?", push, push, "Teri, you're my hero" and scene. At 11:19am on 10/17, you came into this world at 8lbs 12oz, 21 inches, brown hair, blue eyes (we think) and a fully fuctioning set of lungs. The rest of the day was spent doing OJT - on the job training!
It's day two now and we're getting the hang of it. In my mind, I think the nurses are impressed with the fact that I have an iPad app that I can monitor you're feedings, diapers and sleeping patterns with. They should have seen my toilet scale idea.
